Bad timing on my part. She had to fire an employee this morning...

flipper35 04-01-2015 06:31 AM

Did she do the knock, knock joke from Dilbert?

Knock, knock.

Who's there?

Not you any more.

RKDinOKC 04-01-2015 06:54 AM

April Fools. No new offers yet, but am kind of expecting one any day now.

A guy in Dallas just finalized the sale of his Silver w/black interior GTS 5 speed with 60K miles for $86K. Like mine, it wasn't for sale when the buyer approached him.

porsche4life 04-01-2015 06:55 AM

Sounds like you need to make the price higher....

Given said info, accompanied with the article I found...FWIW, IMHO, I'd not consider anything below 6-figs, especially considering that you had a vision for the car and how you wanted to spend time with it...

Just sayin' brah.

On another note...

It's a tough day in Saucy land...lunatic mother has been completely quiet for a week since blowout with me and first contact has raised hell with the pregnant wife...FAB-U-LOUS.

Wife is trying to call shots on where/when/how visits with Jr and mom is a bull just pushing her way into things....then there's me, getting yelled at from both ends.

I need to grab both of these beast by the horns NOW or else the rest of my life will SUCK

Jim Richards 04-01-2015 07:14 AM

Just move the SauCy family to SoCal. Get new phone numbers. No more problems.

Sweet Baby JEEBUS JIM...

I'll tell you, If I hadn't dropped $500k on a new (to us) house in the last 9 months...I would have, that's looking to be the only option.

We wanted to stay local for the family support and have the little one grow up with their family (unlike my wife who live 7 different places before 14) but the family has proved to either be going in their own direction or being totally overbearing.

Jim Richards 04-01-2015 07:22 AM

The family that matters most is you, your wife, and your kid(s). The rest of the family matters, but they're one or more rungs lower on the importance ladder.

Jim Richards 04-01-2015 07:23 AM

Flip that house! :D

911SauCy 04-01-2015 07:29 AM

Not to go into full psychologist mode, I get the family priority thing....but am recently working through a huge thing with my mother, who has been mentally abusive and controlling my whole life.

Only time away from her and making my own life has helped me understand the immense toxicity she bring to those around her.

911SauCy 04-01-2015 07:30 AM

Aaanndd, the dog that tried to bite me and eat the kid, she's getting a Pot Roast tonight and a needle in the morning. That, sucks!

RKDinOKC 04-01-2015 07:48 AM

Was finally able to get in contact with the mechanic in Dallas that did the valve job on my car when the cam broke. He has been off for the last 3 months being primary caregiver for his Father who had a stroke and when thru the post stroke dementia like Mom. His father passed two weeks ago. After being caregiver for only 3 months says he has a HUGE respect for me taking care of Mom for the past 10 years after her stroke.

Not yet but it's only Wed.

Off to pick up the kiddies and then bake cupcakes. Daughter turns 9 tomorrow.

Richard--we ALL have huge respect for you taking care of your mother.

RKDinOKC 04-01-2015 08:00 AM

First Kid?

My Mom as the MIL travelled and stayed at the home of son's when babies were borned. Taking care of house as mother to be started fading due to pains of pregnancy, then helping taking care of the newborn and house for a few weeks when first home. But Mom did NOT try to run the show. And for all three SIL their Moms were not very helpful. Mom did have a bit of experience with 5 kids of her own too.
