Yup. Even after 20 years of working on cars for a living, I set the rack, lift until contact, stop, recheck, pick the car up till the wheels are off the ground and try and shake the car off the rack. Those things are heavy.

I do the same thing.

Good morning guys.

How is it that some customers can be so stupid? You would think an architect could visualize a little, and own a copy of AutoCAD from this century. Grrrr.

Ah well, part of my job is delivering a product that even a stupid customer can figure out how to use. His money is good.

Good morning you bunch of goat hoarding protagonists.

Glen, just hope the "stupid" doesn't spread to your co-workers an/or boss.

GH85Carrera 08-18-2010 07:46 AM

Naa, my co-workers are all pretty intelligent.

I had a customer the other day that figured he could browse through our historical aerial negatives and see if what he wanted to see might be on one of them. I explained we are not a library and the we SELL images for a living. He was aghast that we would charge him money for each year he wanted. He was a lawyer so I asked him what services he provided for free.

RKDinOKC 08-18-2010 08:02 AM

Did you offer to look at the negatives for him for a research fee? Smart lawyers can bill that, not that he couldn't bill for the pics.

We tell them what years we have available of the area they want. We do that for free. We don't even pull the negative out of the file cabinet unless we have an order. Some people just want to look. We tell em, buy the print and you can look at it all you want.
