Must be working, as he's asking me what options to get and already refers to it as "our" car. :)

Now I am really jealous. That ain't fair! I wish I had a buddy like that.

Got a friend that just ordered a Boxster GTS. He has a 50th aniversary with less than 10 miles on it. He rarely if ever sells his cars. Instead, he is building a new house with more garage space. Current house has garage space for 8.

If that is the same guy I know he also has a 993 Turbo S and a batch of 356s.

dang, hope you are ok!!

My FIL got 4 staples in his head Sunday morning. He was loading the UTV into his small trailer when the the weight shifted and the trailer tipped up backwards and the top of the door frame conked him.

Yes, he SHOULD have hooked the trailer to his truck BEFORE loading the UTV.

I was hired on as road foreman about a month ago and, after a severe thunder storm late yesterday afternoon, went out to check the roads after supper. We have almost 70 miles of dirt roads so wash outs, plugged culverts, and downed trees are a major concern.

West side of town had mostly minor washing, few limbs down, but the east side had some major trees down, roads totally blocked off. Anyway....I was cutting one up and the tree shifted and one of the limbs caught me on top of the head ( yeah....didn't have my helmet on Sid). Bled like a stuck pig but managed to get one lane open and made it back to the town garage, washed the blood off as best I could so my wife wouldn't freak out when I walked in the door. Took a shower and she gave me a ride to the E.R.

My head wound was way back before they used staples. Got actual stitches. Was ever bit of 5 years old. Was running through a storm sewer chasing and throwing rocks at sewer rats. Stood up a little too much while running and bumpd my head. Continued to play for about an hour. Wasn't until some bigger (taller) kids came around and pointed out the top of my head was bloody. Put my finders in it and it was all sticky. Then looked at my bloody fingers and panicked. Ran screaming the whole 2 blocks home.

I was about 8 or 9 when I cut my head open with the handle of my metal wagon. Of course, it was a Sunday and my parents were painting the front room. Yep, the room with the good carpet that we were not allowed to play in. :D
Got 1 stitch.

At about 10yo I was playing rodeo with a bunch of friends down in the cattle yards. I pushed a gate petty hard and unbeknown to me that gate was sprung. It came swinging back at me quicker and harder than it was pushed. A cracked knee cap and four stiches in my scone later...

You can still make out the scar on my nut.

RKDinOKC 05-28-2015 11:45 PM

Chicks must dig that.

Hehe

Just one that counts ;)

Morning Y'all,
Just 11.5 hours to go and the weekend is here

pete3799 05-29-2015 02:25 AM

I was building a tree house when I was around 10 or so. Was nailing over my head and managed to drive the claws of the hammer into my head. Mom wasn't impressed.

RKDinOKC 05-29-2015 03:08 AM

Don't let any authorities know about all these head injuries or kids will have to wear helmets 24 hrs a day!

RKDinOKC 05-29-2015 03:13 AM

Good Morning!

Since it was already a short work week, I took today off!

Actually took off to go have painful eye lazering today. They use a local but it doesn't help much. So...plan to have a couple of drinks and take some pain killers before I show up for it.

In my Kindergarten year at school, we were all skipping around the room and the person behind me got too close....I lurched forward and smacked my lip on a desk (3 stitches). That same year riding my bike in the stones at a high velocity, I wrecked and got 4 more stitches in my knee.

porsche4life 05-29-2015 04:28 AM

By the time I got my head wound they had invented derma bond. The doc just pushed it together and glued it shut! That's some good stuff!

I busted my forehead open chasing my cousin around grandmas house. Tripped on the couch cushions he had put on the floor and landed head first on the corner of the coffee table!

Oh Haha 05-29-2015 05:05 AM

It's Friday!!

One more>when I was 15 my best friend knocked me off my bike and I landed and skidded along the pavement on my left knee. Cleaned it off, slapped a gauze pad on it and was good to go.

We've been friends for over 30 years. He was my best man 2x and he still swears that I snapped is dog with a towel that day. I didn't. The dog was always sitting on his nuts and that's what happened that day. He wasn't the smartest dog.

I had more bike crashes than I want to admit. Trying to jump the old heavy steel 30 pound bike with a banana seat was hard. I still have many scars. I had a broken collar bone, broken arm and the worst was a smashed right big toe. My toe was broken in 6 places. I was in a cast up to my knee for that one.

One bike crash was so bad it took all my effort possible to get back on the bike and pedal right to the base hospital. I knew it was pointless to go home first and home was further away. I went walking in dripping blood. The lady in line in front of me with a stuffy nose pointed at me and said "he needs help more than me" but all they would do was put me in a room and hand me bandages to stop dripping on the floor. When my parents were called and gave permission to treat me they attacked me with what felt like Clorox and steel wool to get the dirt out. The gave me a stick to bite on.

I never had any stitches until I had moved away from home.
