Morning all SmileWavy

Just back from dinner at the rissole with Shazza and her fossils.

A nice feed of Barra, chips and salad, washed down with a couple of schooners of Bulmers cider. Shaz and her parental unit had lasagne, and old mate munged on a lump of Wagu along with a Hunter Valley cab sav. An enjoyable evening out. :)

Now settling back in a recliner to watch some tennis on the idiot box.

Outback Porsche 07-07-2015 05:01 AM

LOL, the furkid just tried to run through the sliding glass door. :D

RKDinOKC 07-07-2015 05:23 AM

Is Barra fish and Wagu beef?

Outback Porsche 07-07-2015 05:25 AM

Spot on Richard ;)

Good Morning all and good evening Jeff.

Once again we have a house guest. One fur kid Reuben, instantly took a liking to her. He managed to get over an hour of ear and belly rubbing. It has always just amazed me how dogs can pick out humans that are dog lovers and instantly bond with them.

RKDinOKC 07-07-2015 06:42 AM

If you were a dog looking for attention and all you had to do was sit around looking at the people in the room, I bet you could easily tell which ones would give you attention and which ones won't.

Pepper is that age where she still thinks EVERYONE should give her attention.

GH85Carrera 07-07-2015 07:02 AM

And she is right! ;)

Porsche-poor 07-07-2015 07:10 AM

morning all. Glen got the label thanks. I put it in the bosses water cup. Just so happens he has one that the inner liner comes out so put in a seasonal plastic decoration. Now its a makers mark cup.

GH85Carrera 07-07-2015 07:14 AM

That will get the big bosses attention!

I know it had been over 25 years since I had any bourbon. Most likely it will be another 25 years before I have any more Makers Mark.

Porsche-poor 07-07-2015 07:17 AM

he is the big boss/owner. so I'm ok.

RKDinOKC 07-07-2015 07:32 AM

The founder of the company I work for lived to be 96. He did a shot of bourbon every day. Said his doctor told him anyone under 40 that drinks is a fool, and anyone over 40 that doesn't drink is a fool. Claimed just a shot a day helped with all kinds of thing.

My grandfather on my Dad's side outlived my grandfather on my Mom's side by 20 years. He took a snort of moonshine as he got out of bed and another as he was getting back in at night. Grandad on Mom's side was a tea totaler.

Porsche-poor 07-07-2015 07:42 AM

everything in moderation.

So double bonus. Making the big boss happy with a cool label. Glad I could help. SmileWavy

One of the guys on out tour was a "Makers Mark Ambassador" whatever that is. He was my guide as to which versions to try at Jack Daniels.

I need to find a tour next year for beer breweries. Then I could hurt myself :eek: :p

Porsche-poor 07-07-2015 09:19 AM

Go BIG or go home!!!

Porsche-poor 07-07-2015 09:20 AM

where is the next one anyway?

RKDinOKC 07-07-2015 10:54 AM

Parade 2016 is in Jay Peak Vermont.

GH85Carrera 07-07-2015 11:05 AM

The Next Porsche Parade is in Pete's back yard. Jay's Peak, VT. It will be a LONG two day drive for us. The cool part is I will be able to drive through parts of all the New England states and into Canada. My quest of driving my Porsche in all lower 48 states will be getting a big boost. I will be going into Canada as well.

My wife is now retired so we can spend more time on the road and see the other states. I will start working on a route soon. I want to hit all those states and stop and see something interesting in each state, not just cruise down the interstate.

I can knock off several states from the list in fewer miles than driving to Boise City, OK.

Interesting to see the scale of Oklahoma compared to the several states I want to travel through.

I know Boston alone has more history than all of Oklahoma put together. As a history geek the tough part will be figuring out what to see and what to have to skip.

RKDinOKC 07-07-2015 11:44 AM

Haven't been to a state unless you peed in in, and haven;t stayed there unless you pooped there.
