My phone get 64 down and 5.5 Mb/s up at home.

Here at work it is pitiful slow, like 5 down and 2 up. We have two different companies with Fiber on the pole right next to our building. That would be sweet.

Hmmm. All this talk of faster internet speeds makes me wish...

Don't hurry...be happy, mon.

Dija miss me?

Went to try to help a friend who's dad has Alzheimer's.
They recently put his dad in a home so his mom could get some rest.
The result is his mom is more rested, but his dad doesn't know who anyone is any more.

I recommended my friend and his sister take turns going and helping his mom so they could keep his dad home. But they claimed they were too busy. Only now after it is too late they are trying to make arrangements to spend more time with him.

Don't know why people don't listen.

I am so grateful I was able to work from home and be there for my mom. And yes, it would have been nice to have some actual help from my siblings.

I am at the office all by myself today. Our chief pilot is off on vacation at Oskosh. He flew his C-210T up there to spend the week.

The other pilot is flying a job that is hot. Of course almost all of them are. The typical customer just keeps putting off the decision and then when they finally give us a GO they want it finished and delivered to them RIGHT NOW!

Fortunately, the state where the job is had nice clear weather. He will have to spend the night away from home but they have motels there.

OK Jeff, we watched a nature show last night and even the bloody mice in Australia are killers. They were swarming eating the farmers pigs alive. MICE! What is in your water over there?

A lack of water prolly, not its contents.

A couple of comedians wrote a song titled Come to Australia: You might accidentally get killed. Hehe, pretty funny stuff.

Morning all, humpity hump hump :p

GH85Carrera 07-21-2015 01:03 PM

Has it warmed up down there?

Rick V 07-21-2015 03:09 PM

Evening Y'all,
I was talking to Azzy up at Seahawks and she was giving me the lowdown on the critters own under, How do people survive down there is beyond me and you are NOT allowed to use deadly force to defend yourself.
I would not be long down there, I would either be killed by some algae or locked up for offing some form of insect

GH85Carrera 07-21-2015 03:11 PM

And ya don't even get to have handguns!

RKDinOKC 07-21-2015 03:30 PM

I KNOW I need my house cleaned

One of those vans (heck, maybe that was the van, itself) was parked in front of one of the local elementary schools. Lotsa parents complained and it soon moved. Maybe that's it parked in front of Carpenter School over in Studio City.

porsche4life 07-21-2015 06:27 PM

Going to get the house cleaned while you wife is gone?

GH85Carrera 07-21-2015 07:15 PM

Stijn!!

Wow, 99 bucks to clean the house? Do they mop the floor and clean the toilets and showers and vacuum the blinds? That is over double what we pay to have a lady with "a real nice personality" if you know what i mean, clean our house. We don't want her to wind the clocks because they might stop. I took her picture with my camera phone and I had to get a new phone, the camera broke. She cleans the house real well.

RKDinOKC 07-21-2015 08:36 PM

Maybe 99 is more numerically suggestive of their services than say...69?

Good Morning...

Careful, those topless maids get everything clean and sparkly, but the sparkly part is glitter.

GH85Carrera 07-22-2015 04:58 AM

Good Hump day everyone.

When I have work done on the El Camino like new tires mounted or an alignment I take it to a local shop just a 1/2 mile from my office. They seem like good honest folks and do good work. I received an email from them today. Here is part of it.

Dear GLEN,
Based on our records, your 1986 Chevrolet El Camino is due for its 339,000 mile manufacturer recommended service. Click here to schedule your appointment online 24 hours a day or call in the next 30 days to receive the following promotion:

They want to change my oil. It would be interesting to see just how many manufacturers have a recommendation for a 339,000 mile service.

The computer is figuring I drive a bit more than I do. I am only up to 337,500 miles. I will do my scheduled 338,000 mile oil and filter & lube in a couple of weeks.
