My brother ran for state senate in the late 80's. One Saturday my college aged nephew and myself were chosen to walk one of the really bad low income neighborhoods and knock on doors for him. The neighborhood is called the river flats.

The black people living there were very friendly and wanted to talk. The white people yelled at us, run us off, and even sicked their dogs on us.

We were smart enough to change clothes and NOT wear suits.

I may come in for a 1/2 a day tomorrow just to miss laundry day at home. I have a decent size job on the scanner to finish up and another batch of obliques. The napping couch is comfortable....

No real plans today but for a kid doctor appointment this afternoon. Wifey had to go to her office for a few hours.

It's going to be close to 60 today so I may fire up the grill for supper.

Morning all. this to is my Friday. I would suggest not standing in front of the door to day at 4 pm unless you want to get run over.

My Friday also, but all the engineers now realize that I won't be here for the next 11 days, and all of a sudden have all thier projects in jeopardy of not getting done by the end of the year. I will probably be staying late tonight to finish everything.
