My first post was #7660 made 2-04-2010.

Glen and Jim are almost the only posters from back then. But I could be wrong, have been before.

The test is easy and always pick "C". I hate grading them.

There is a lot of good info in the thread of you think back. Nipple lube, growing mushrooms, reloading, using the neighbors lawn to turn Peggy around, how to use photoshop on large men without being maimed, photography tips, woodworking, electrical circuit design. Good stuff.

flipper35 01-17-2017 07:06 AM

I have to admit, for a while I was tempted to skip ahead to make sure Richard got to keep his foot. Well keep it attached anyway.

Porsche-poor 01-17-2017 07:09 AM

ah the nipple lube. She got me for the xmas gift exchange and sent me some. I sent it on the next year but the box either never got there or he was offended.

Yup.

Oh, and it's raining here now. Was icy last night and this morning. No school again.

Man, this no school stuff is really cutting into my nap times.

New GearPro camera should be here today. Woohoo!

I was looking at the ZOOM Q8 for video work but it is pricey at almost $400. Just couldn't justify the cost.

RKDinOKC 01-17-2017 07:32 AM

yep kept most of the foot attached. They just lopped of the bits that made it possible to heel and toe. @#&*!&!!!

Don't forget this is also where Sidney and Thuy hooked up.

The first few pages tell a lot of the story. Jump to any page and see random bits of different BS.

Just remember everything on the thread is true with no exaggerations or embellishments.

Porsche-poor 01-17-2017 09:29 AM

not even the nipple lube!!!!!

GH85Carrera 01-17-2017 11:33 AM

The guy that ordered the aerial of his house from the 1980s just picked up the print and the file.

We make a 8.5x11 print that has our name on it and a scale bar and a flight date. The courts accept that as evidence. The file we gave him was just a google earth type of image that drops on top of the current imagery.

He said the city has been driving around looking for people parking in the yard. It was pretty clear he has a full circle driveway that he says is gravel and it has been there well over 30 years. That means it is grandfathered in. The city writes ticket that are $100 per violation. The can hit you everyday if they want to. He has proof he is legal and does not have to pave the driveway with asphalt or concrete.

Porsche-poor 01-17-2017 11:54 AM

stupid city.

The city just sees it as an easy $100. One guy in a truck car write many thousands of dollars of tickets in a day. Some neighborhoods start to look real trashy real fast when people park vehicles on the yard especially when it is a derelict vehicle. Our customer has a driveway that is just packed gravel.

Porsche-poor 01-17-2017 12:09 PM

Good for him. I hope he beats them at their game.

flipper35 01-17-2017 12:28 PM

The city tried something similar with dad. Tried to tax him on land he does not own, it is a street that was never developed or paved. For a long time the curb was partially there to show where the property line is.

Porsche-poor 01-17-2017 12:34 PM

anything to make a buck.

GH85Carrera 01-17-2017 12:39 PM

The Oklahoma City itself is 620 square miles. It completely surrounds about a dozen other cities. Each city has it own laws. Some cities are silly restrictive. Nichols Hills flat does not allow a pickup truck to be parked in view of the street. Even if it is on your own driveway. It has to be inside the garage or out of view. Other cities like The Village (not a Village but THE Village) have relaxed rules just don't speed at all in the Village or Nichols Hills.

The metro area is over 1,000 square miles. Kinda spread out.
