I just heard that right now the wind chill in the panhandle of Oklahoma is 29. The heat index in south east is 98. It is a nice 78 degrees here.

Sure, that's what they show in the advertisement...
Then when you show up at the trails...

That helps a lot. Whew, maybe I wont go blind.

Good morning all. We made it through Monday. We flew a little job on Saturday. They said the targets were down and gave us the go. The client is a land surveyor. They put targets on the ground which are usually a 4ft x 4ft white X on the ground and they shoot in the GPS coordinates with their survey grade GPS accurate to 1/8th of in inch. Depending on the size of the project we want from 5 to 50 targets. We then run the project through our software and then go find the target in the image and punch in the X, Y and Z position of that spot of ground.

When we re-run the project it ties the project to a very tight tolerance to the earth. Without the targets we get to maybe 2 feet of reality. That is fine for just a photo, but it you want to tie past surveys and current data back to the image it needs to me a lot closer.

Anyway they are always in a hurry to get the data back ASAP. We have been waiting on them to get us the ground control values so we can finish it and writhe the invoice. More hurry up and wait.

Looked into Pepper having a litter of puppies. Looks like the possible income would be around $2000 total for 10 weeks if there are no problems. Also there is a couple of owls roosting in my back yard. Not very conducive to letting puppies play in the back yard!

Few if any hobby breeders make any money on raising dogs. My parents raised English Bulldogs. The sold pet quality pups for $600 each 30 years ago. Show dogs were a way more than that. The time was free, but the expenses were always more than the cost of the litter.

The only puppy breeders that make money are puppy mills and they are just a tiny bit above slave traders on the scum level.

Making puppies?

Holidays: Where the missus brings you coffee in bed

Coming from Jeff I am not sure if that should be in green or not.

You OK guys, slight change of plans again, sorry. We are spending one less day in Texas and an extra day in Missouri so it would be Sunday when we are popping through the OK state.

On the way down I have to say Fort Worth has the worst signage of any place I have ever driven.

The convention center in Austin has improved their food considerably. It is up to OK now. Compared to the AT&T convention center which had excellent food.

Jacob was impressed with the red granite in the sidewalks.

RKDinOKC 10-10-2017 06:06 PM

Sunday means Ann's Chicken Fry is open. Earls is still good though.

GH85Carrera 10-10-2017 06:36 PM

Stijn!!

Yea! Ann’s.

Wait, oh crap. The auto cross is Sunday. What time will you be coming through? I can leave the autocross a little early but I need to be there.

And Earl’s is a good choice as well.

RKDinOKC 10-10-2017 11:38 PM

Your definition of "Wait, oh crap." and mine, I hope are very different. Mine usually involves some level of hazardous waste management.

GH85Carrera 10-11-2017 07:03 AM

Good Humpday morning all.

Brent, I guess it all depends on when you get up and on the road headed north. It is 400 miles to Austin from here. That is 6 hours for a car with all adults. I suspect the family makes that a bit longer. What time do you figure you will get to OKC?

Ann's Chicken fry has famous Chicken Fried Steak as their specialty. They have lots of other food, but no BBQ or ribs. If you want some good ribs Earl's is good but my favorite place is Steve's Ribs. They have a new place just off of I-35. And I do mean just off of I-35 not down the road from it.

It is your choice. We are easy.

flipper35 10-11-2017 07:29 AM

When does the ac get done? We are headed to see the Alamo on Friday and might be as far north as Ft Worth to stay Saturday night. I will know more tonight after the conference. We are easy food wise.

flipper35 10-11-2017 07:32 AM

Oh, the kids have iron bladders so we make good time.

About to start aanother session on security.

GH85Carrera 10-11-2017 07:56 AM

We usually are done autocrossing by 2:00 PM. I can sneak out a little early if necessary.

flipper35 10-11-2017 09:25 AM

Depending where we stay we may not be there before 2 anyway depending on traffic.

How do you hold a seminar on the future of IT and talk about the possibility of cars being hacked when they have been in the past.

In the future, cars, refrigerators, washing machines, and home thermostats will be hacked. For example all of them and more have been hacked already!
