The newest picture I have of me without a beard is my HS Senior pic.
Have not shaved for 40 years. Mostly trimmed to about an inch similar to Glen's.
Stopped trimming when I stepped on the nail. 5 years ago.
Trimmed it once since then. Trimmed off 4 inches 6 months ago.
Think it has grown back two of those four.

Women stop me going in and out of restaurants to tell me they like my beard.
Bearded gentlemen with much shorter beards ask me how long it took to get this long.
Notice people watch me in restaurants.
Thought about carrying a duck call to see what they do.
Would much rather have the hot womenz entourage like ZZTop though.

Good Morning.

The Good: It's Friday!
The Bad: It's like it was Winter or something.
The Good: No white stuff.
The Bad: It's still cold and damp outside.

Now that you have experienced the rollercoaster of morning emotions you may enjoy your Coffee, It's still FRIDAY!!

Hey TGIF everyone except Jim. Happy Saturday Jim.

After going through all the time, expense and the work to change my boot drive to a SSD it really did not speed it up that much. I guess a fast spinning drive is pretty good performance.

Even the boot time is not a huge difference. I have 5 hard drives in this system. I run a backup software that does regular backups of the boot drive, and then differential backups every day and it has a "time machine" feature like the Mac's have had for a long time. I ma likely going to make the boot drive a mirrored drive for even more belts and suspenders backup.

The good news is through two hard drive failures of the boot sector and one hard drive failure of the entire drive, I have not lost anything but time.

The Mac Mini I gave brother Bob has 2 500GB internal drives I ran mirrored. Made a huge difference. Tried just booting off one drive because recovery would be easier for a uh let's say Novice Savant like Bob. But the speed degradation was just too much to redid the mirror. The only work he will be doing is basically typing so the faster disk access will make the computer seem a lot faster booting, saving, and opening files etc. To me it SEEMED more than twice as fast mirrored. Didn't put a stopwatch on it though.

After talking to him this weekend...Even though he has been using computers for 15 years, has got no idea how to use Google. He just types in web site URLs and doesn't understand you can Google anything. That's what I mean by Novice Savant.

Gave him an old mac mini I had retired and was using for KODI because I just hated seeing him on a limited income spending so much money with Geek Squad to keep cleaning the virus and malware off his PC computers. He has had it for 6 months and is still using the PCs. I know because he asked me how to transfer the photos from his iPhone to his computer while he was here. Showed him by plugging my iphone into the usb port on my mac and the photo app came up with a screen of the new photos to transfer to my Mac.

morning all. Friday relax day cause Saturday is dress in a tux night.

RKDinOKC 12-01-2017 07:03 AM

Just get a wild print cumberbund with matching bow tie. Have fun with it! If that's not fun enough go for the matching socks and underwear too. But most events frown on showing off the later.

Yuck on a Tux!

We are working up a quote for mapping a 6 square mile area that is lets say very rural. A river runs on the south of the area so lots of marsh and river bottom. Our client is a surveyor, so he puts down the aerial targets. Usually a large white X on the ground in open, flat areas.

I will be real happy I don't have to help put down some of those targets. Some are going to be a real challenge to get to. He will want a jet pack. Our part is easy, fly over at 2,000 feet in the air for several laps like mowing the lawn.

We do our part and hand him back the files. He double checks the points, and we are done. It is a bit more involved than that, but in the end one thumb drive will hold all the files.

Put a double Z stripe on your hot rod and problem solved.

RKDinOKC 12-01-2017 10:47 AM

Don't think Billy has no Porsches. Besides he is into body modified cars like Cadzilla.

He would like my photoshopped 928 though.

http://www.zipbang.com/928gts/AfterPhotoshop.jpg

With names like Eliminator, Cadzilla, and Bikezilla I wonder what they would call it.
A lot of 928 owners call the 928 the Shark, maybe Sharkzilla.

I like seeing this shopped photo of my car pop up in car forums with people asking if it is a real car.

flipper35 12-01-2017 11:38 AM

Photoshop a ghost stripe on the side and you are golden!

GH85Carrera 12-01-2017 11:41 AM

About 1/2 to 3/4 of the TV shows about car shops would do that to a 928 is they had a chance. They do it to vans, pickups, and 1960s Caddys. It looks totally stupid in my opinion, but at least I ma not paying for it, or driving it.

RKDinOKC 12-01-2017 11:42 AM

Only a couple of Billy's cars have the ZZ stripe. Eliminator and another 30's coupe.
The Lamborgini and the Fiat have wild body kits, but no stripe. Cadzilla is ZZstripeless as well.

There is a reason I did it with photoshop and not to the car. And it isn't fiscal.

Also did my Cayenne S. Guess it could be called Pepperziilla.

http://www.zipbang.com/955S/CSSlamwheels.jpg

The reason was having fun with photoshop.

flipper35 12-01-2017 12:03 PM

Yeah, but everyone knows the stripes.

RKDinOKC 12-01-2017 12:18 PM

Yeah, the ZZ stripes are probably how the got the entourage. Oh yeah and the ZZ keychain.

flipper35 12-01-2017 12:40 PM

3D print the ZZ logo for the centercaps on the wheels!

RKDinOKC 12-01-2017 12:58 PM

Do I need to get and wear a knit beanie?
