Okay. got a bag of "On The Border" chips to try them out. Yeowzer, those things is SALTY, salty salty salty.
Guy at the checkout said their deli started making tortilla chips.

May put me back on my BP meds. Had to stop taking them cause I had a couple of low BP events.
Never add salt to anything except some french fries.
Put garlic powder and cayenne pepper on pop corn.
Can't eat McDonalds great tasting fries, too much sugar!

So many foods are super salty. Especially at restaurants. They all seem to think it needs salty taste to be good. I hate it. It is so easy to add salt to anything. I can't remember the last time I put salt on anything at a restaurant, it has been decades. I do add pepper to many foods.

One of the Mexican restaurants was always SUPER busy and often had a wait time if you got there at 5:00 PM. The owner sold the business and of course the new owners had to put their spin on things. First off, raise the prices, then salt the heck out of all the foods. We have only been back twice since the new owners took over. If it is still super salty next trip, they will be off the list. We noticed a dramatic drop in how buys they were the last two times. I don't understand a business that is bought, and the new owners change some of the core things, and business drops off. You would think they could go back to the old way.

Morning all. Got a short day then off to jazz for a few hours. The its the honey-do list.

GH85Carrera 12-13-2018 07:17 AM

Those lists can get long and involved.

Porsche-poor 12-13-2018 07:17 AM

I'm not a big fan but when its your kid playing you go.

GH85Carrera 12-13-2018 09:17 AM

My parents, especially dad loved Jazz. I can appreciate some of it, but some pieces seem to be just all the notes played at once, on different instruments. Of course bad rock and roll can be that as well.

Porsche-poor 12-13-2018 09:19 AM

I think any music can be played that way or maybe heard that way if you don't like it.

They didn't leave room at the top of the list to write in "loose list".

Has anyone heard of Fusemail?

Proofpoint sent me to a provider, that provider is saying Fusemail is better and cheaper.

I can be friendly to people when I talk to them. Learned that in the service industry long ago. Doesn't mean I like them.

Joe, I like it. Nice and clean and elegant.

I can't eat McDonald's food because it is like beef flavored salt. Those chips must be different down there, here they are less salty than most of the others.

RKDinOKC 12-13-2018 10:11 AM

Being a Saxophone player I like Jazz, just none of that free form crap, ie Miles Davis.

Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Maynard Fergusson, Joe Sample, The Crusaiders, Herbie Hancock and Mann, etc Played in jazz band in college with Herbie Mann's daughter.

Not too fond of bleeding heart "ballads". There are some good ones here and there though. I've got the music in me, Thelma Houston. Fever, Ella Fizgerald or Peggy Lee. Not really ballads.

Loose? or Lose?

Porsche-poor 12-13-2018 10:17 AM

So there is an extra "O"

GH85Carrera 12-13-2018 10:37 AM

My dad had a crush on Peggy Lee. He even had a deal with mom that if he could get a date with Peggy Lee, mom was OK with it. Mom had a crush on Jim Fowler of the Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom show. She had dad's permission to have a date with him.

I am pretty sure neither of them got their date.
