What the heck is this thing?
This is a short navel orange tree. I saw this on a leaf. It is 3-4 inches long.

Well, unless a cat or small dog managed to perch on a twig and crap on a leaf....
My guess is caterpillar. It even looks like it goes to "feet" in between the indentations along the sides. |

I thought it was dead, since it hadn't moved all day. But I put the backyard water sprinkler on for an hour. That woke it up. It is now happily munching on Navel Orange leaves :(
