Yet a Perfect Moment...

Sitting in my garage, full belly of sushi, enjoying a Montecristo Cabnet Selection cigar, sipping a Fat Tire from New Belgium Brewery. I know this brewery well. I have been to Fort Collins a few times - they are a great customer and I have enjoyed many a free brews with the brewmaster Jeff. Listening to Selected Shorts on NPR, listening to talent. Maybe someday. Thinking of all that I have and greatful - a good stable of rides, the stocked garage, great friends and family, a nice home, a job and the frame of a sidehouse walk, waiting for a concrete dump this week that will lead to a now half finished pool and patio that takes up our complete backyard. Sixtyfive thousand dollars worth of civil engineering, labor, Ceder, rebar and Gunite. A place for the family to retreat eleven months out of the year. Sixtyfive thousand dollars, earned by ghostwriting, earmarked for a Pelican surprise Caymen - instead, spent on the family much deserved.

The Caymen will have to wait. Asking God if the choice I made was the right choice...then suddenly...

I knew the choice was just.

It's amazing how stuff like that happens. God has a way of putting things right in your face sometimes, while speaking very softly other times. Looks like He approves on this one!

Wayne - good. My Wife is very reserved and never ever talks to me or anyone about her lack of sight untill two nights ago.

"Mike, (she never calls me that btw), I am not sure I will see anything by Christmas, I can barely see anything now - I'm freaking. I just want to see again."

"I know baby, someday maybe. What do ya say I fly you and the kids to the farm for the week - I'll be on the road from Sunday to Thursday. You need some farmtime."

"Really? I mean, do you think it will be alright with not being here with the contractors and all?"

"Don't worry, I will get it covered. You need it now - go be with your folks and spend sometime outthere."

She wept while I bought three roundtrips online 6 hours before the plane was to take them to the grainbelt.

All three are having a great time. I miss them.
