Hopefully pressure is kept up on the LCSO!

The thin blue line is very real.

Every body of water I've ever had a 5mph speed limit from dusk to dawn. Why would this one be any different?

Unbelievable!!!!

Unbelievable!!!!

He launched over the sailboat taking out the cabin and leaving prop marks on the decks. But he's pretty sure he wasn't going too fast...

m21sniper 08-02-2009 07:23 AM

And clearly the slow moving sailboat that DIDN'T have a cop driving was at fault.

Clearly.

I remember that story from one of the boating forums I frequent. People wanted that guys head. Total cover-up

artplumber 08-02-2009 06:12 PM

Karma is smiling for Deputy Perdock.

I've told this story before. A friend of mine (a pharmacist), was t-boned by a cop on the way home from work late one night (24-hour pharmacy). He had a green light and the cop went through a red light anyway.

Police report says cop had his lights and sirens on (he did not) and friend was cited for failure to yield. It also contains a very convoluted sequence of events that has my friend hitting the cop car and the cars spinning around so that the cop car t-boned him. In reality, the cars pretty much stopped where they hit and there was no damage to the front of my friend's car. The police department sent his insurance company a bill for the damage to the cop car.

His insurance company eventually got a hold of the tape from the cop car after several months. It shows the cop driving, then the video goes blank (black screen) for the duration of the accident, then resumes after the accident has happened. It shows nothing.

The insurance company realized what was going on, but refused to go after the cop or the police department that was covering for him.

Hear about the one in Hollywood, FL recently, where the IDIOT cops were caught on their own dash camera, discussing how to pin the accident caused by the cop on the girl they just arrested for DUI?

There is no thin blue line, no systemic corruption in the rank and file.

I'm surprised the public ever saw the dash cam. Like I said in my friend's case, the dash video he eventually saw had been "edited".

m21sniper 08-03-2009 07:12 AM

Like the "lost door" at Ruby Ridge?

Rick Lee 08-03-2009 07:18 AM

I think the lost door was at Waco, no?

m21sniper 08-03-2009 07:22 AM

No idea if they "lost" one at Waco too, but they definitely "lost" Randy Weaver's front door.

David 08-14-2009 01:32 PM

The defense just rested. Hopefully there will be justice!

The local paper covering the trial is here: www.record-bee.com

So now all we need is for that local DA to go after that scumbag murdering cop that killed those people.

Yep, that will definitely happen.
