I like the painted crest on the spider - nice accent.
Thanks bro- did that by hand.
I like the clean look and classic silver color. Understated.
Mustang GT's of the day 90 to 2005 were no match for the 928.
No I enjoy whipping the snot out of the Fords at the local road course. My 914 puts them to shame including down the straight aways. "Un-peeling and onion" very nice. I was able to change out the steering rack in like 20 minutes. of couse the rebuilt unit was 350 bucks. |

The cam covers and brake booster?? Double-ugh... PS: Thanks John PSS: There is a ton of aftermarket specialist support for these cars, and several 928 forums with extremely knowledgeable posters. Any DIY'er should be able to handle 928 ownership no problem, but BUY A NICE ONE TO START, not a roach. |
Great looking car m21, especially the engine detail.
I'll give ya $1500 for that POS!

PWD i was thinking about selling it, but i decided i'm going to paint it and keep it instead. :) |
Keep it silver...lookin' good in that color..
Thanks! Just gonna freshen it up with the same color.
Yeah, the silver makes the car look smaller than it is. If the engine goes, you could always drop in a built up small block chevrolet...:D
I have fantasized about dropping a 3.8 SFI V-6 Buick Turbo motor in there in the past. Not only would i gain an EASY 100hp, i'd also save about 200+ lbs. That's a lot of weight to lose up front though, would make the 928 very tail happy, much like a 911.
Never looked at the weight stats...an all aluminum chevvy vs. the stock 928 engine? One out of a wrecked 'Vette might actually be lighter.
The 928 V-8 is an extremely heavy engine by displacement. An LS-1 chevy motor is about 250lbs lighter IIRC.
yah - some of the wt. has to be the cam drive stuff
The 928 V-8 has a full main stud girdle and extremely thick cylinder walls, etc.

I've often wanted to do a 928 big block chevy swap, for some seroius torque! Hey Sniper what part of Philly are ya from? I occasionally miss Upper Dumpy and constantly miss a good cheese steak!!
