Ipod nano questions
I pod question 1:
How do you delete files off this thing? My god son just got one, and his mom is convinced there is no way to delete files without reformatting the device. True or false? I pod question 2: Is it ok to cancel an erroneous download in mid download? My sister was trying to DL files from her puter, and accidentally downloaded about 50 oprah episodes. She is convinced that interrupting the download will destroy the device while simultaneously ripping a hole in the space-time continuim. Any truth to this? More questions will follow. Thanks. |
Awwww.......give oprah a chance LOL
Sorry, don't have an ipod :) |
In iTunes, click on the ipod on the left. You'll then see the songs that are on the ipod. click one song or use < ctrl > or < shift > to select a bunch. Then hit the < delete > key. Poof!
cancelling shouldn't cause a problem. I've done it. They aren't that fragile. |
What Steve said. Select the songs and click delete. And yes they are durable. Mine is going on 5 years of daily use.

I can listen to Oprah on my I-pod???????? My God, I can leave the house in the afternoons now.........

You don't typically need/want to delete the files from iTunes if you just do not want them on the iPod -- you can just uncheck them. There is an option in the settings to only synch checked songs.

I have many, many more songs in iTunes than on my ipod (10x more than will fit). I drag and drop songs onto my ipod because the whole checkbox thing is a pain. I also don't use the auto-sync feature. |
How do you disable the auto-sync?
|
I think it's a checkbox in the settings someplace. I'll check and let you know.

Thanks my friend.
