Cornell Road, above Lovejoy, Portland, OR.

Looks like neither the time, nor the place. (to me). That stretch is just outside a neighborhood, lots of bicycles, lots of car traffic, narrow, shady, and on that day, damp.

(But, I will admit that when the weather and the time is right, there are some fun curves to be taken.)

The car may not have gotten out of second gear, but the driver got past second base before the ride ended

Wrong about the location- it's Philadelphia. The road is paralled on both sides by guard rails/walls and 2 parks. It was lightly drizzling. Non residential area.

My 928 does 60mph in first gear- is that my fault? In the initial run the car does go into second (2nd winds out to 98mph) as it hits about 75mph. And yes, it's my car!

Is there actually a mortal man among us who doesn't have a near orgasm when they hear that 16v Porsche V-8 with full borla racing exhaust wound out to 6000rpm?

BTW, my female co-pilot in the video also has a 928. We took this picture the same day. Mine is the silver one:

It's a big V-8. 6000rpm is plenty.

My "camera mount" for that video is highly interactive. She does things no other camera mount can do.

Yup nothing like a Early 928 motor to wake the nieghbors at 5:15 every morning. Guy across the street told me If I was ever late he would be too because I was his alarm clock.

Borla with no cat. Wonderful cars.

Damn it all these 928 threads got me missing my car now.

Watched Cannon Ball Run II the other night. got a tear in my eye when Big foot rolled over the 928 at the start line.

Snipe you need to come to Bowie and do an autocross with the PCA guys. Next one is 9/27 (this Sat. they are running at Summit Point) and we have at least one very nice sounding (and well driven) 928 there. Last couple times there was an add'l 928...s4 maybe? it's a bit of a drive to get there for you but should be easy in that cushy luxury car!

Dunno if you've done any driving events yet but if you haven't i promise you will come away with a new appreciation for your car.
