tint/paint rear plastic convertible windshield.

I know the plastic can not be tinted but anyone paint it? I believe some hobby paints, or maybe other kinds, will do it but what is the best for it? I have used hobby paint on lenses, vinyl, leather, etc, but not plastic windldows yet. Anyone's done it?

I bet a good upholstery shop could remove your window and sew some tinted vinyl in it's place. Probably a marine place that makes canvas tops for boats.

My Miata's rear window was done this way- The shop has big rolls of clear vinyl, they just cut off a piece, and sew it in. Much cheaper than buying a new window from Mazda.
