Who needs a bullet proof vest?
They've got an app for that...

Pretty cool man.
|
I was very surprised to see, after the 1st round to the middle, that a 9mm didn't penetrate!
|
mythbusters here we come
|
Yes but,
Will it blend? |
If anyone needs an actual bullet proof vest i have a Safariland class IIIA with carrier(will stop 240gr .44mag) for sale.
$300.00 and it's yours. |
I've got to wonder if he used an 85 grain frangible bullet or 147 grain FMJ?
|
Problem is the phone isn't set against a hard stop. It can fly off and carry some of the energy with it. Can't do that if it is in your shirt pocket.
At any rate, that's a tough phone. Get one of those and a .357 George |
The lesson here is clearly when trying to kill an iPhone user, a high-powered rifle is best.
|
Or, if you can't get the $300 to Sniper, then you need a photography vest (lots of pockets) and a dozen or two Iphones. Then, Viola, you've got the hippest body armor ever!
|
I like the music.
|
No problem, should be covered by warranty.

I'd have used a 12 gauge personally.

meant to blow it up. but was sort of proud of the grouping. now it's an object de' art on my coffee table. |
Neat production on the video. I hope Apple sees this.
|
I dunno, looked like the bullets went right through to me. The back of the case is tough nylon plastic. Looks like it simply ripped the plastic rather than making a clean hole.
Not saying an iphone couldn't absorb a great deal of energy. Its a 1cm thick sandwich of glass, metal and circuit board (itself a sandwich of copper and epoxy resin). |
I think he should have sent in to Apple with a "please warranty" card before he burned it. Maybe a jumpdrive with the video too?
