Computer
I am trying to configure Windows Mail to add an additional account.
How do I find my smtp & pop3 server names. It's through a college so I can't ask the ISP and I can't ask the network admin. Any ideas? TIA - Ryan |
Why can't you ask the admin? Most colleges that I know of have a home page, usually the home page has a link to some sort of IT/tech support page, and usually that page has instructions on how to set things up like mail servers, wifi, etc....
Is there someplace that you can go to see a PC that already has mail configured? If that's the case then look at the settings on that computer. |

The admin is out for the weekend and I need to know by Sunday. The school's site clearly explains how to set up your account to receive e-mails from a different mail server but not how to receive their e-mail at a different server. |
oh, and I do not know of a place where I can see it already set up.

PM the email setup web page to the school please.

Inside outlook, go to tools/accounts/properties It should list your pop3/smpt servers.

He's trying to find out the email info for the school. There is no info on the school's website. They only seem to offer web based/Java email. It's possible to forward the school email to another address, so hopefully this will work.
