So I bought/traded for some skis......the local launches charge $$ and going to the useable lake is 2+ hours. The local lake is a reservoir and doesn't allow human contact. Retail is 9-1200 bucks.
THIS was made for $120 and junk parts.
Yamaha Mule take off wheels, junk trailer axle, fence posts and the only thing I bought was the 1 inch square tubing. I plan on adding a cradle, a second axle with steering when I find another free axle. I have two more wheels left over. Next is tabs for my detachable tow bar, I can tow it behind the jet ski double trailer as I have my Class A license and magnetic trailer lights. Ingo suggested adding a kegerator, a set of lights and a generator....I think it's doable.
I re-drilled the hubs, used left over 911 studs and bolts....yes. I'm cheap....
hand launching is a PITA but it's free.
Went up to take the pics.....was surprised by a family of skunks.......nice end of the evening......
