What a great day at work!! set off some explosives!
we have done it before; but for whatever reason, i am never around when they set off the charges. meetings usually. not today, we set charges, and i made it a priority to hear the "big bang(s)". awesome stuff. we are blasting a tunnel.

Awesome. A friend is a CE in KC, one of his career highlights thus far was getting to demo an old bridge with explosives.

I've worked on a few other tunnel projects, as well, where I mapped the geology of the tunnel face and did a few other things. Why do you ask? Do you need people to work inside the tunnel? I've been meaning to ask about that. I know a few of the Kiewit guys. |

I LOVE explosives! They are the coolest thing humans have ever created! (not withstanding worthy medical advances, etc). angela |
