Prine and Goodman
I saw Steve Goodman and Johnny Cash in Daytona Beach a long time ago. He wasn't well but put on a great show with lots of laughs. He and Prine sure seemed to suit each other and both had great sense of humor

John Prine is one of the greatest ever to grace a Nashville stage and all of the rest of them would agree. Have fun!

One of the finest songwriters out there. Love "Angel From Montgomery" "Hello In There" "Dear Abby" lots and lots more. Never seen him play, though.

"You may see me tonight with an illegal smile, it don't cost very much but it last a long while. Want you please tell the man I didn't kill anyone, I was just trying to have me some fun".....
John has been and continues to be brilliant. Kriss Kristofferson really helped him break into the scene in the early 70's. An old hippy turned me on to him years ago. By the way, "Blow up your TV. Throw away your papers. Move to the country and build you a home. Plant a little garden. Grow you some peaches. Try to find Jesus on your own."

Yup, he's brilliant. All of the great writers tell stories in their own voices, he's a stellar example of that.

"Hello in There" and "Sam Stone" always stop me in my tracks.

It seems every guitar player who come in the shop has heard of him.
20 bonus points if you remember which tv show used "Illegal Smile" as a theme song (it wasn't on the air very long). Jim
