Anyone been horseback riding in Utah before?
My wife has never been on a horse before, so I was thinking of making a trip to do this on Labor Day weekend, either around Zion Nat. Park or Monument Valley. I did it in Zion when I was a kid, but don't remember much. It's pretty hot out there now, so an all day ride is probably no good. Anyone have any suggestions?

I did Canyon de Chelly (AZ) a few years ago. Rode in to "White House" and beyond. Took most of the day including a couple hours in the bottom of the canyon.
Good hat (full brim), long sleeves and pants, sunscreen. Water and food. Not too bad, a little sore. Do it. |

Looks like it's gonna be Monument Valley. I got a hotel in Mexican Hat and we're going to Vermillion Cliffs in Page, AZ after the ride. But these horseback tour places don't have the best websites. I'm still waiting for a callback from one of them and will book tomorrow. If my wife liked riding on the back of my bike, I'd have kept my GS and taken it on this trip.
