Probably a little desperation on the seller's part.

Dismay
I just re-evaluated downwardly what I think I should pay for seats. Does that mean you are a sucker if you buy any seats over 4K? mmmmm I wonder. |

No Terry, it just means that Paul continues to regret selling his S...he's been an anti-Porsche sadsack here for years now. But he does have a shiny new Mustang. Ask him how fast it is! ![]() The free market is a wonderful thing.

Shaun...maybe you need to study the sports seat market a bit...beautifully restored sports seats may be worth $4K...but not rusty ones with bad reupholstery jobs...those MIGHT be worth half the asking price as is. These seats need to be redone...totally taken apart, frames rewelded where and if needed, powder coated and repainted where needed, the proper webbing, foam and cover material...all done by experts. THEN you might have a $4,500 pair of seats...Bob saw this in the pics, so did I. Since you're such an expert, why didn't you notice the flaws?
I can add that people with your attutude helped me decide to sell the S...with absolutely no regrets over my decision to sell it in a manner to assure certain types will not get their hands on it. The mustang? It's just a Mustang...a fun driver I can take anywhere without the worries that went along with driving a collectable '72 911S. As far as fast goes, the Bullitt models are down there on the Mustang "fast" pecking order. So, what is it about MY cars, MY choices, that upset you so?

Paul, your regret in selling you 911 is littered all over Pelican. it got so bad people were asking you to leave, so please save your self-denial. That you let other people determine your actions, that's interesting, but not surprising given that you fall for every single mass email sent to you, and then post them here.
People like me, with my attitude? You don't know me Paul. You really have no idea, again, I'm not surprised. If you did, you'd know that I paid twice the asking price for my S that I bought out of a field in TX, because the seller just didn't know what he had. There was no way I could steal that car from such a nice guy. You'd know that I am restoring that basket case instead of parting it for 5X my purchase price, you'd know that I've sold about $120K worth of parts over 6 years parting out cars way too far gone, at prices lower than most, providing special sheetmetal cuts that would require I sell for twice what I do given how much time I put into delivering clean pieces and have given away, for free, about $10K worth of parts over the year. But your bitterness and regret over your own car would never let you see those things. In closing, don't f*ck with people's sales on Classifieds, stay on PARF and get over selling your car already. Move on. And stop believing every email you get, too. Thanks!

Ahhh...It's political. So, how's that hope & change working out?
AND you're pissed because your S is a rusty project car? Well, give the guy $4.5K for those seats...obviously you think it's a fair price. Yeah, in many ways I do miss the old S...after all, it was probably among the best unrestored ones on the planet. Regret? Nope...I did the right thing for me at the time I did it.

political? no, stop f*cking with Classifieds sales that you have no interest in other than personal amusement and we don't have a problem. Messing with another man's business? not cool man. but I do see a death panel in your future, so yeah, I suppose it could be political.
mad about my rusty S? no, I paid twice what the guy was asking for it. does that sound like I'm pissed? I couldn't be happier to have the only velvet green over linen 69S Targa in the world. So are we cool on you not littering up Classifieds? stay where you belong.

Paul broadcasted Bob's quip over here in OT, opening the gates. Stoopid. Classifieds polices itself. Bob's cute quip would have been dealt with by other dedicated Classifieds members if anyone thought it warranted it. Classifieds doesn't need bored, old jokers like Paul bringing in the OT circus. You're right, you don't have a dog in this fight.

And PPOT is a place for "cheeky quips" and discussion, not commerce. However, that hasn't stopped your constant self-promotion here. The next time I read/see something about "Little Traveler" or "G9Girl" (both odd/creepy names BTW), I am going to puke.

Eric, sweetie, OT is the place to sell things like t-shirts, self-promotion, etc. and yes, I get Wayne's permission every time I do.
you'll want a bag next week. ![]()
