19! Seriously? 19?

The Duggars that is.

They have the means to support them and seem to have raised a good brood so far so God bless them.

But I gotta admit it's gettin kinda weird for me.

onewhippedpuppy 09-01-2009 07:35 PM

I was weird far before this point. I'm sure they're all nice kids, but from the little I've seen they seem a bit......off.

Hugh R 09-01-2009 07:40 PM

"Off" is the word for it, but hey if they do it without government assistance (well, lets not include the cost of public education)

bell 09-01-2009 07:42 PM

They are all home schooled.....and baptist or mormon.....

They own a bunch or rental properties iirc, which is where their main income was until they were given the show......I'll watch their show before I watch john minus nine......

Actually Wiki states they belong to a Christian group called Quiverfull... they are also Young Earth Creationists...

Honestly I feel sorry for the kids but as stated if they are funding this on their own nickel who are we to complain.

Your link is messed up. Goes back to PP main forum page.

Perverse.

There's no life guard at the gene pool.

Thanks,

Fixed it for myself.

Well I knew it was some religious group.....

I highly doubt we'll ever read that any of them ever get a dui, caught using meth, robbed a bank, scammed some money, ran from the cops, or beat someone up.....
Not saying that I agree with everything about them, but if the majority of americans had the same family values as the duggars then the world would be in MUCH better shape than it is now......

dd74 09-01-2009 08:16 PM

Look, I'd watch a semi-functional brood of 19 born again Christians or whatever over that train wreck that is Jon and Kate plus 8.

That Kate makes $75K per episode for basically being a control-freak b1tch!

Un-effin'-believable!

Then again, I'd rather watch none of them.

It's hard to disagree with that...

but I'd have to disagree.

Edit: I really cannot express why I would disagree without making this totally PARFed up.

I agree, too much is too much.
This is not giving birth, it's a productionline.
This is not about wanting to have a large family, alterior motives are at the base of this, but that would be a PARF discussion.

Talewinds 09-01-2009 08:46 PM

I'm so confused! I agree with post #8 AND post #10!!!

Jim Bremner 09-01-2009 08:48 PM

First off, my hat's off to them.

The clown car bit is very rude.

I bet that ALL of the children will turn out better than most kids.

and lastly it's none of my damn biz, oh and this is a dupe, from 8-9 months ago.

No. I hate to whip out pregnancy math on you, but that would have been kid #18.

Look at the dateline on the article.

HardDrive 09-01-2009 09:45 PM

Must be like throwing a hotdog down a hallway at this point

m21sniper 09-01-2009 10:32 PM

Reminds me of a joke from Predator.

"Clap"
"I can't."
"I told you it's tight."

You're lucky. And probably smarter than the rest of us for not having heard of them.
