Jeff, I would have made that stoplight (or even the one before it) on the offramp if it weren't for all the sheep holding me up for the last 10 miles.

true story...i once pulled off the freeway, and was next to a bigrig without a trailer. the idiot threw a beer bottle at me! he ran the next stop light, and sideswiped a car. i checked for cross traffic, and caught up to the truck..i never knew that those trucks didnt have plates! i guess they are on the trailer part? well, this guy was hauling butt, laying waste to cars along the way...i was in a camry, and had full passengers. i couldnt keep up because i was not willing to run so many red lights. i think the guy got away. i was pissed.

A clapped out, dented 1990 corolla was the best! I had no "driver's wanted" hack rental outfit to answer to!

Now I ride the train. :(

But I hate it all - Long Island, the Hudson valley, Jersey s^*ks, forget the $#@* city. There is no enjoyment in driving, certainly no making good time..

Slow pokes in the left lane, no signals, no clue to what they are doing. Cell phones are nothing - it is the txt'ing that has idiots all over the road.

When I drive, I leave early, come home late. Man, I need a road trip..

One of the most beautiful things....

One of the most beautiful things I've witnessed in a while happened a few weeks ago. The fiance' and her mother and I were in her mom's mini van on the way back from a grocery run.
We were on a busy two lane road in heavy afternoon traffic. The finace' remarked a couple of times about seeing a Cherokee a few cars back darting out in the left lane like it was looking to pass.
Well, we had to come to a stop for a car to turn left that was two vehicles in front of us. In the other lane there was a line of traffic held up by a car also turning left - our right as we looked at them.
The young snots in the cherokee didn't appreciate being held up so they whipped around on the shoulder of the road throwing gravel everywhere and passing about four vehicles including us and the one in front.
They made their pass at just the wrong time.
Just as the car in front of us turned left the car in the other lane turned left exposing a county sheriff's vehicle!!!
The sheriff whipped it around and had the kids pulled over in a matter of seconds! Imagine their story trying to justify their driving! :D

I'd have called it in. I have called in when I have seen stupid driving antics. Speeding? Not usually when on the freeway but if in a city or congested area, yes.

I run I75 for my job now and I cannot believe the way people drive south of the Flint area.

I have witnessed this asshat in a Dodge Charger WITH DEALER PLATES, driving like a jerk. The first time he almost ran into a lady in the far right lane who preparing to exit. He came across from the fast lane and ,oops, surprise dumbass, there is a car. he just about nailed her and then he was inches from her bumper, like he was going to make her move. I really thought I was going to be witnessing a crash and maybe be involved as I had to exit as well.

She exited and he roared off just as soon as she flinched to move right.

Last week, I was on the road with him again. He was doing the same thing. Riding the fast lane on bumpers and then crossing 3 lanes to go around, all with no signaling and doing the "gangsta" lean into the passenger's seat.

Will I call him in if I see it again? It depends, I guess. If I can get the plate number I may just place a call and let the police know that it has happened a couple of times. We run through 3 counties so 911 may go to the wrong county center depending on where we are.

Once I witnessed 2 Saabs driving like idiots on the freeway. I noticed both had dealer plates from the local Saab place. I figured they had picked them up at another dealer or something and were heading back. I kept them in sight for a few miles and saw they exited close to the dealer. I stopped a little while later in the day and spoke to the service manager. I asked him if they had 2 cars driven back today. He told me they did. I suggested that he remind his "drivers" that they represent the dealership and that driving like clowns can be bad for the reputation. He just kind of blew it off, as in "oh well". I simply replied "I'll remember that when someone asks me where they could purchase a car".

And, yes, I have driven the 911 in manners that others could construe as not being safe.

My choice wasn't there.....

Call the cops and tell them the story and you are going to make an arrest; while on phone reach in turn off car take keys grab the the guy in out on to the road, with knee on neck tell the cops you got him and he was also endangering a child. Tell them to come quick as other drivers he pissed off are getting out of their cars looking to tire irons.

On another note, I called the cops with plates, make, driver description right when it was going down on a drunk that almost took me out going around the corner, I trailed him a bit but he was so all over the road I thought he would slam on his breaks and hit me, so I turned off. The police response, why didn't you follow him and see where he gets out; my response, that's what I pay your salary for....

You stay on his tail hanging a ways back. His driving Wayyyyyyy out of line

and it was amazing to me how many people did actually pull over to let me by when the Guards Red SC hood was in their rear view mirror, a lot of people did let me by even when I wasn't tailgating or riding their bumper.

I guess the second quote doesn't describe adding to the allready idiotic driving.

It was his description of his actions following an irrational driver.

I responded to what I was told.

"this car seems 911 turbo light speed fast----------You stay on his tail--------"

You sir, on the other hand, know nothing about me, and to make a comment without any information at all is idiotic.

Given what was written I stand by my initial comment.

Also, If you were to question those who were being passed I would guarantee thay would say there were 2 (two) cars speeding down the highway.

I hope for your sake you are a frickin' black belt or something, because if you pick out the wrong guy, you are the one who will be eating through a tube...

Edit: Like WilsonTC said, sorry, I replied before reading all.

Did you get a lot of help after that smart a*s remark??

I like to play a little game with these jokers. I call it ''Let them win.''.

You should always report an idiot if you feel strongly about it. Save yourself first.
