1991 Mazda RX-792P in-car video from Laguna
This is a one-year-only IMSA GTP car. 4-rotor wankel making around 650hp, 420lb-ft torque in a 1750lb chassis.
The car sounds really wild from the outside. It's a lot more subdued in this in-car video. Actor Patrick Dempsey drove it at the Historics this year. Photo by me, video not by me   from GrandTouringPrototype.com on Vimeo.

I remember seeing earlier Mazda GTP car in the late 1980's... at Lime Rock, they were perhaps the loudest car I have ever heard apart from a top fuel dragster...
I wonder why the 956/962 dilly dallied on the qual lap and let him by?
