Shell V-Power 93 - No Ethanol?

Went for a drive today and stopped at a Shell station. The 93 Octane V-Power had a sticker on it that said "0% Ethanol". For once I happily topped off the 911's tank knowing that my CIS would be pleased.

Anyone seen this before?

Wish I could buy a tankfull. Because of the brilliant thinking of the Oregon legislature, all you can buy here is gasahol...10%.

Around here, more than a few stations refuse to sell ethanol blends. We can't get 93 any more though, after the last price spike.

We can get non-ethanol gas, I just have to go over the county line. Waller county doesn't have to have ethanol in the gas. Harris county is required to use oxygenators.

we have a few independent stations around here that sell ethanol-free gasoline,
unfortunately they will be mandated to sell the crap soon, like everyone else. grrrrrr!

just read today some political bs

due to the fact that 4 out of 5 legislators come from corn growing states figure 15% ethanol in the next few years

I didn't confirm the facts

How do you know that you're really getting gas with no ethanol? Are we assuming that gas station operators are a trustworthy bunch?

The gullibility is strong here Obiwan.

Well, for one it's against the law to sell ethanol without posting that fact on the pump. Secondly, I am in that habit of using stations that are owned by a person, not a faceless corporation, and simply having a little chat. You'd be surprised what you can learn.
