Need info on Pistol: STAR FPatr08

Trying to help a lady in my office collect info on a pistol that her father brought home from Europe in WWII.

The markings on the left side of the pistol are:
B. ECHEVERRIA & EIBAR-ESPANA

Either SA CAL 9mm or 5A CAL 9mm

On the butt of the pistol is the serial number: B250256

I’m not sure of the location but there is another stamp. It starts off “cal.08” then next to it there is a marking that resembles the Army Ordnance symbol (looks like a grenade with either a flame on top or a king’s crown) and inside the circle is the letter P.

I’ve googled STAR pistols and was confused what I found (date of issue, who was it made for, etc.) so I’d be appreciative if anyone can shed some light on this pistol!

"any ballpark idea what something like that would be worth today?"

You buying-$175. You selling-$125.
My pawn shop, assuming average condition. We have to start somewhere.
