I don't think so. Parents these days sit their kids down in front of "entertainers" like this because of their lack of capacity to be parents. Plus the media loves this crap; plus the media either loves or is afraid of this guy. As said in the very beginning of the thread, if it hadn't happened this "awards" show would be a distant memory less than 24 hours later. To be honest, I wouldn't be very surprised if we find out MTV paid Kanye under the table to do something stupid. This "VMA" show has been on death watch for years already.

This 34yo (out of the targeted bracket, I assume) didn't even know that something was up last night.

Kanye at least got his name read by some of us who weren't paying attention. As I haven't bought an album in three years -- I'm not buyin' his either.

Bonaroo fest. he REFUSED to go on before Pearl Jam( after being booked to do so, for months by the way) so in order to appease him, the fest producers allowed him to go on after. not good enough! They had to load in his entire show, which consisted of only UV lighting, and his band out of view from the audience.(wouldn't want anyone with real talent taking away from his whining). So he eventually went on @ around 5am, to a crowd of about 500 half asleep hippies who stayed around so they could BOO him off.
