here is my new truck. (new to me)

what a learning experience! the seller was absolutely paranoid. turned out, he was almost scammed with some nigerian LA apartment scam. well, the day worked out like this; i had to work friday night graveyard, rushed home, took a shower, took public trans to the airport, jumped on a plane to LA, sussed out the truck, and bought it. brought wife with me to help drive. well, it all turned out ok.

i bought a 2006 4x4 toyota tacoma. seller said, zero body damage, but i did find a tiny scuff, the result of a cutting it too close with a pole or something. nothing i am worried about, i made the same dent in my last truck. low mileage, but in desperate need for some new tires. here are pics.

Nice truck! I'm going through the same exercise now... looking at 2 trucks in NorCal but can't figure out how to get up there and look/buy and get back down to central Cali.

Thanks for the offer, but they are in Santa Rosa and Lodi. Thinking of renting a small car, then a Uhaul dolly to pull the car back.

Thought of buying a junker bike for $500, and selling it when I get back, but don't want to be stuck with a bike hanging out for a few months. Plus, wife would kill me.

Sharp! And all kitted out without the initial depreciation. Was it an eBay deal? Was the seller paranoid about taking a bad check?

I bought both my bimmer and porsche off of eBay. New Mexico and Texas, respectively. Fun trips for me.

edit: And, just sold a tow truck on eBay. Now I've got a clear driveway for something more fun!!!

You don't have any friends?

Central Cali is kind of vague, geographically the Bay area is central.

Congrats! Glad you didn't end up with a Heep Wrangler or an early 70s Bronco!

Not to pee in your flakes, but the tacoma has grown huge - it has reached F-150 size and you can't even get 4x4 with a 4cyl.

My dad had that truck in red with the both of the TRD packages and the SR5. So it was a little more loaded out but you will still love that truck. For the rest of your life. Great stuff.
