Interesting Site on Open Carry

This is interesting. What states allow various modes of handgun open carry and where they allow it.

who in the hell wants to OPEN CARRY? i can see it during a hunting season. but anytime/anywhere else??? WTF?????

WHY?

what they dont know is fine by me and will stay that way.

CCW is the ONLY WAY! hell of alot less dirty/fearful looks, despite it being legal.

saw this clown the other day. washington state plates on red neck goat roper rig. gets out, long disheveled hair/slobbed out manson like appearance, packing a 2-gun pistolero .45LC rig and some goofy assed bone handled BOWIE KNIFE on belt aka some moron gunslinger from some goofy assed hollywood western.

my VERY FIRST thought was WTF??? is this all about. im packing my PPK/S in my shorts as i usually do, wondering is this clown peudner gonna pull a in-grocery store bank heist?????

totally out of place. he wasnt a jeep tour dude dressed in period kaw-boy attire to amaze the foolhardy snowbirds from back east. grocery clerk gal i have known for 10 years asks me "WTF?" is up with dat? and i replied after buying my sandwich........."IM OUTTA HERE!" "GOOD LUCK"!

no need for a display of firearms. makes CCW and other law abiding gun owners look bad. same as that moron dude when obama was here last packing an ar-15 and a pistol during his visit.

As a repossessor i'd really like the option to open carry because of the obvious visible deterrent two men carrying side arms conveys to potential nerh-do-wells.

But we really like our red-necked goat roper rigs up here. Not to mention our .45 LC's. And the disheveled hair / slobbed out Manson like appearance is really just "Seattle business casual". Probably some Micro-Idiot with more money than god...

Open Carry="Shoot me first!"

Best,
Tom

Open carry= Go rob someone else, on some other street.

Criminals DO NOT knowingly pick armed victims, just as predators do NOT knowingly attack animals that are their equals in combat. If at all possible they pick the weak, the defenseless, the old.

When and where has that ever happened? It's a myth.

maybe i should have said he looked like a "prospector curmudgeon" sorry.

i hate open carry, unless in BFE. i go into town for food beer ice fuel, i hide it. especially if wearing camo.

why draw attention??????

I sometimes open carry on the bike because it's too hard to draw from concealment while in riding gear. But I most like offending people with CA plates when I pass them on the left and they get a view of my right hip. The nice thing about OC being legal and customary in AZ is that you can't get in trouble if you're CCW'ing and your shirt comes up or you're printing or you get made. That can land you in serious hot water in TX, but not in AZ. So, while it's usually CCW for me, I don't make too much effort to conceal it.

Why restrict my rights to carry how I prefer? You may not want to OC, but why tell me not to?

I was warned of this during my concealed handgun course.

6. Going Armed To The Terror Of The People

By common law in North Carolina, it is unlawful for a person to arm
himself/herself with any unusual and dangerous weapon, for the purpose of terrifying
others, and go about on public highways in a manner to cause terror to others. The
N.C. Supreme Court states that any gun is an unusual and dangerous weapon for
purposes of this offense. Therefore, persons are cautioned as to the areas they frequent
with firearms
