Are the Leaf's going to Suck again this year?

Come on Leaf fans, whats your call? Were getting close and I can't wait.

Oh Yeah. With the addition of Kessel (a costly one) there is a chance they could make the playoffs this year. They're a tough team now with some scoring added.

Burke can only be in rebuild mode for a short time as the fans have already been starved for so many years. Getting rid of two first rounders is high, but Kessel is a proven first rounder who is locked in for 5 years and is only 21. Nice move.

Brian Burke did a heck of a job in Vancouver, we should have never let him go, although the Canucks have had a legacy of making the wrong call, Cam Neely comes to mind, Kessel was a good signing, you'll see a lot of that from Burke.

It's still going to come down to goaltending. Remind me who the star net minder for the Leafs is again.

They haven't made the playoffs in 5 years (including the lockout year). They're bound to make the playoffs this year but will get bounced in the second round. They'll make the semi-finals in five years then tank again. Then the re-building starts again.
As long as the teachers pension fund makes money, and the ACC sells out things will be the same.
I really hope Balsilie gets to move the Coyotes to Hamilton but MLSE will block the sale.

Q What do you get when you combine the Leafs and Ground Hog day?

A Six more weeks of bad hockey.
