WTF is a .....wps file?
 

I received some docs that are wps files and I can't open w/ MS Office or Apple works. What application (program) do I need to open so I can read the stupid things?

Can't that be opened w/ MS Office? some kind of translation. All I get are pages of gobbley gook!

I know I could have gone to Google but you guys always offer such interesting dialog, it's more fun this way!

Well, as a works extension, apparently Word that comes with Office should open it, unless its the "Kingsoft Writer Document".

I've never had any luck opening a .WPS file with word.

You can download a free converter from MS to open it from MS Word.

Can I download for Apple OS X or is it just for Windows operating system?
