How to post a slide show?

Guys, a friend just emailed a slide show of an Aussie hot rod...a Holden...amazing crafsmanship. But, when I click on the link in his email, the show comes up, can't figure out how to post the link here.

Any ideas?

Is it a .ppt or .pps file that you are clicking on?

.pps The last three letters. Ahead of that EFIJY

You said "when I click on the link in his email"... is it a link or an attachment?

If it's a link, try placing your cursor somewhere in the text box of the email and then click EDIT, then SELECT ALL, and then COPY and PASTE it here.

My bad...it was an attachment. Click on the paperclip thing.

Try right click and SAVE AS to your HD. If that works, then see if you can post it here the same way you'd upload and post a photo.

Won't work.

Heel n Toe 10-02-2009 11:10 PM

Yer a lot of help.

C'mon Dave... really now... did you really mean to come on here and post what won't work?

That's like when somebody posts a request for people who are familiar with "X" to give advice on how to do "A, B, C, and D" to it.

And 15 people post that they have no idea how to help.

Heh heh. Just razzin' ya.

:D

Paul, start the slide show on your PC.

When the first slide pops up, click PRNT SCRN, then shut down the slide show, open something like Paint and paste and save it as Slide1.

Start the slide show again...

I'm sure you know what I'm aiming at.

Get to work... chop, chop. :)

slodave 10-02-2009 11:22 PM

John,

You can't, because the SW only allows you to upload .gif or .jpg. It will reject any other format.
:)

Heel n Toe 10-02-2009 11:27 PM

Sw?

slodave 10-02-2009 11:29 PM

Oh man!

SW - Software (forum) :p

Ahh... saving them in Paint would give him bitmap files.

Paul, after you save them, email them to Dave and he'll convert them for you.

:D

Heel n Toe 10-02-2009 11:33 PM

Or... you can upload them to Photobucket... it automatically converts everything to JPEG.

slodave 10-02-2009 11:37 PM

See, you didn't need me. ;)

Heel n Toe 10-02-2009 11:40 PM

:D I'll remember that.

Well, Paul might still need a few finer points explained, so stick around if you can. I'm hitting the hay.

slodave 10-02-2009 11:43 PM

I'm around. Take care, John!

pwd72s 10-03-2009 09:28 AM

Next morn...Dave, I'm too friggin' computer illiterate to figure it out...sent you a PM...I'm willing to send the slideshow to you via email...

Heel n Toe 10-03-2009 10:03 AM

Paul, this is getting ridiculous.

OK, I've got a "bubba solution" for you.

I'm sure you have a digital camera. Just start the slide show and snap a pic of each photo as it comes up, then download them to your PC, then upload them to here.

Dare ya.

This is getting too complicated...
