Very cool. But how did he not get the camera ripped off when he stopped overnight? Especially at the end in NYC?

Cool.

It would be neat to know the route he took. I can bet the top came up and the rain started somewhere near Pittsburgh.

The whole way with the top down is hardcore. I could take it for a couple of hours, but I need some isolation and songs.

Notice how he drove across the country in 4 minutes but almost the last 45 seconds was driving through NYC. Fitting.

He took the scenic route in the West. First, he drove through Zion, then he headed down to Monument Valley. After that, it looked like Texas, then it's anybody's guess.

Rain was before he picked up his friend in New Mexico.

Recognized Las Vegas, I think...

He came though Cincinnati. 2:58 - 3:05. Must have done a couple of day/night shots.

You would have to have someone guarding it. Very nice effect with the time lapse, especially of the ocean.

There are some pretty cool roads in northern cali where you could do a pretty cool time lapse. I think somebody did that when the Alpine500 was running. The Mini guys and the dude with the old jag shot some video, though not edited like this, and it was only 500 miles. You could run together cool scenic stuff, instead of random, Chimney Rock, Mt Rushmore, Going to the Sun Road in Glacier, Grand Canyon, Yosemite.

Maybe do it on a bike, maybe a 550 or some other open top P-car

That was cool! Reminds me of the drive I took from Detroit to Ft Myers, FL a few years ago with the top down in the '74 911 (1st week of March).
