No video.
Sorry. KT |
I must say that is quite an outfit to play Jazz in.
|
Really interesting venue.
We were in a back yard within a gated community in Napa. Each back yard has it's own private boat dock. There were small groups in all of the neighboring yards and also on the boats anchored in the water listening to us play. The sound carried nicely across the water. Good fun. KT |

If you were playing trad jazz, where's the banjo player ?.....and the shirt is just fine...
|
So I guess the hat has to go, then?

leather pants would be a nice touch.
JK... you a LOT more hip than the other guys. Black hat. |
Actually Jim Pugh wore a Hawaiian shirt one of the nights with Steely Dan so there is precedent for 'bone players going Hawaiian. I was thinking more along the lines of this though:

Keep the shirt but trade the hat (it's really OK) in on one of these :

I think the tradition for trombone players is a Pizza Hut delivery hat.
|
I'll search for a better hat.
We wore white shirts, skinny black ties and black slacks in high school jazz band. ( my idea ) KT |
