Wonder if they'll ever make a Nomex one? I wouldn't put it past Converse, they seem to try every wacky material.

My daughter has a pair made of clear vinyl with glow-in-the-dark rubber.

Uh... that's the whole idea.

Some folks take themselves too seriously. Some are perceived as taking themselves too seriously by those who actually do take themselves too seriously. Nothing un-does all of that like climbing out of your Porsche in a pair of Chuck's. Then, of course, the uptight putz that takes himself too seriously thinks to himself "he looks ridiculous...".

i am a vans guy....but I JUST ordered a pair od bob cousy pf flyers....i prefer the simple shoes to the ghetto fab ones

I wish they would update the Chuck Taylors to be more comfortable. Some changes to the footbed (like, arch support) would do wonders and not be visible from the outside.

Currently I wear those fancy sports insoles in the Chucks, it works well, but spending $30 on insoles for a $45 shoe is a bit much.
