my 911 has spirit
- We both loved the car. My wife likes the look of the car and mostly because she knows it is my heart.
- I bought it within a blink of an eye without negotiation. This was long time ago but I still remember that it was around 1am or 2am in the morning. The owner kept suggesting me to come back in the morning, but I just have to have it right away. I was never like that but why was I such an idiot this time? You know the answer. This was the "only one" I found in this condition, and was this gorgeous TO ME. Flame me whatever you want, but it is to me. - I spend too much time with it, more than with any car I have had, even more than with anyone else in this world, beside my fulltime job. - My wife slowly stops liking it for many reasons. - I hate it mostly for one reason. It takes too much of my time. Whenever it has running nose or headache, I just have to take care of it right away. If I can't, it stays in my mind and I can't help it. - When I am with the car, I don't want anyone to bother me. Well, beside my buddy (Draco). I have many friends but he slowly becomes my "only friend". - My son always try to come near me and the car when I work on it, but I am too afraid when the car is on the air and I usually got frustrated with him. - Multiple times, I was thinking of selling it, but whenever that thought came across my mind, the next day I realized that it is the most beautiful car when I am with it on the road, and I repeat myself again that I won't know what to do without it. It's like a bad but hot girl. - Multiple times, my wife suggested a 996, a new 911 to her. - I told her that a 996 might cost more in multiple areas and I might not even like it. - She even has a thought of having both cars, so I don't have to spend time with this one so often. It is not realistic. I know she just hope a 996 will "fix me". I want to clarify that I won't be able to afford both Porsches. - To me, I don't know if I will like the 996 and I am afraid that I won't have the look and the ride I have now, beside the cost of maintenance. The other side of me is telling me that I will have a more comfortable ride, good AC, and I will have more time with my family. - Many times there were people tried to stop me either for just "nice car", "what year is it?", "Is it a Ferrari?", or asked if I want to sell it. Usually, the “sell it” is all BS but this time the guy seem like real. He tried to catch me and throw me his number and wanted me to call him. - I told him "no" but after that, when all thoughts came through, I called him. - After a long talk (I told him all the odd things about owning an old 911, to the point he asked if I was trying to talk him out of it). Finally, I decided to meet him with the car. - This morning, we took the car out for a nice ride before I proceed with waxing and showing it to the guy, because there might be a chance that I will not own my baby anymore. After 2 mins drive, we decided to stop at the post office for an errand. When we just got to the parking lot, ...BAM, a girl in a Civic backed out into my rear fender, the beautiful fat turbo ass which I always love, and left a nice long dent there. I was very frustrated. Maybe my car has spirit and it wants to stay with me.

My first 911 has the same hold on me, and bought it the same way! I still have it (over 25 yrs), but bought one that my wife enjoys driving and riding in. I think I'll be buried in it

when things get really bad, my 911 will be the last thing to go. To keep the wife off my back about it, I put her in a Mercedes, and a 986.
