Anyone Here a Member of Vintage Mustang Forums?

Forum Index - Vintage Mustang Forums

I tried to register over a week ago and still haven't received the email to confirm my account. Of all the boards I've joined, this has never happened. Is this normal for them? If anyone is a member, could you please send a message to an admin? Same user name I use here. I can't find any way on the site to send a message without being logged in.
I've ditched the 911 track car idea. I'm going to build an early Mustang. The price of parts is night and day. A 911 is still on my short list though.

Sorry...I don't belong to that one. Another, which has a vintage section is:

Hi, good luck with the pony, I have a 66 with a lot of road race, go fast stuff done to it if you have any questions.

Post pics.

I'm looking to buy a 65-66. There is a solid shell on eBay for $9K. Something like that would be nice. The Dynacorn repop bodies are tempting too, but they don't offer a 65-66 yet.
I have a rare (in my world) opportunity to possibly do this in tandem with my next door neighbor. He will be putting a 66 Hertz car on a rotisserie in the not too distant future.
VMF seems like a good forum but I just don't know why I'm not being confirmed.

This was my third project car, I wanted something lighter than the 71-73 fastbacks I had. I'm guilty of neglect lately as the 85-86 944 engine swap is going on now. I should have another engine in there by Christmas, hopefully the temp will drop some by then!!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1255381679.jpg

by the way if you're looking at 9k for a shell, maybe we should talk...

The upside is, everything's been done and seems to have been done right. Restorable cars with rust go for more than $9K. Also you get to install only what you need and want, should make for a very light weight finished product. Plus I really want to do a ground up restoration.

Oh, I see said the blind man! thats a great starting point for a race car, but a lot of parts to do a street car, with basically a new car as the finished product, nice! I always subscribed to mustang monthly way back in the early 90's, I'm sure they have a forum online and were always a great source.

I've got a 66 with most of the goodies that makes it a respectable car on the track, but it's not a full-blown race car. Regarding VM, that sight is full of great info for just about anything that you can do to a Mustang. I used it back religiously while I was building my car. I can give you some advise on what to do and more importantly, what NOT to do as far as building your car so send me a PM if you're interested.
