Lawn tractor just blew up

Looking for a used lawn tractor.

Tight turning
Tractor style for use with snow blade and trailer.
50-60 inch cut

Looking to spend under $ 1,500 used.

What would a choice be?

Looking for a $ 6,000 tractor depreciated down to $1,500 with some years left in it.

what happened to your old one? Why not get a new engine or fix it? I have a Craftsman that I replaced an engine under warranty then replaced the head gasket for $10 after I thought it was all done. STill going strong two years later.

It's the head gasket on mine as well. Replaced it last season and I'm using it as an excuse to get a new mower. I will fix this B&S one more time and hopefully sell the tractor.

It is a terrible mower. Due to the design of the mower deck, it cuts unevenly when you turn. Only has guide wheels on the back of the deck not all four corners like a quality mower. Can't handle very tall grass in any gear past 2nd and then it usually takes a couple of passes - even with fresh blades.

The 8N is a little much for my yard.

I don't know your exact needs, but I would highly recommend that you get one with hydraulics. You can't run toys without juice. An older Deere 318 is a good choice, and has all the hydros. Lots of toys out there for them as well.

Here is a forum for small garden tractors, kinda like here. Ask all you questions here

I prefer the red ones (case IH) over the green ones.

They don't make little ones in red. Yellow and beige. What ever, color is unimportant the ability to do what he needs is. I have a green tractor so I know what it can do. What does your beige and yellow one do?

Last winter, I bought a JD 316 - Hydro 4 way blade - snowblower - rototiller - 54" deck...$1,900......Like Targa911 sez: a workhorse with hydraulics is the only way to go......
