Laid eyes on the Pamamera this morning (photos)
Driving through Bellevue, WA this morning a Turbo Panamera pulls up next to me. Light turns green, and I try and follow to stay close, but this guy left me like I was pedaling my Lexus loaner car. On the road it looks low and tough.
Had dealer plate, so it had to be from Barrier Porsche, so I headed over there. Sure enough its parked out front. I thought seeing it in person would change my opinion of the looks, but not so much. The car is long, and the interior had tons of space. It actually looks really nice until you get to the back end. Now, from the back, it actually looks great. But when you look at it from the side, there is just something messed up about the way the rear wheel, the rear door, and the roofline come together. I think they didn't quite make the back end fat enough, so it sort of looks like its got a diaper on or something. I noticed the rear wheels were sort of sunk into the wheels wells. Would look much nicer with some spacers bumping them out a bit. Just my 2 pence. ![]() ![]()

The car would look so much better with a real trunk lid.
You can do either 4-door or hatchback, but not both. This is why.

Yes, but I believe the reason for this design was to increase rear-seat headroom. If I was in the market for a full-size sedan, that would be in the mix, no doubt.

saw one on the road today as well, it had Pfaff Porcshe on the side of it. (Pfaff is our local dealer out here) It was moving in the opposite direction but it still looked a little odd. For a family "truckster" I would go with a Cayenne if I had the money.

I have to admit though, I *love* the Panamera... I really do. Big bum and all.
