12.1 in the quarter

Add M&H slicks...and oh yeah, an edelbrock bolt on supercharger to a bullitt Mustang, and you get...

YouTube - Bullitt 2008 12.01@115mph

Not that I want to go drag racing again...

Yep...they sure do...and the Bullitt, stock, pulls well past .9 G on a skidpad...Better in tests than both of the other pony cars...Camaro & Challenger, despite their IRS set-ups.

The Mustang weighs less than the Camaro, which weighs less than the porky Challenger. It's the nimble one of the three.

This was a timed run only...didn't matter when he left the line, only when he broke the beams...

My 2010 MazdaSpeed3 is rated at 14.4 and 100mph on the 1/4mile. Not bad for a 4cyl turbo!

All that pressing on the throttle ...then the brake...whipping the steering wheel left ...then back to the right ...more throttle ...brake again, all the while driving around in circles in a search of some elusive Finish Line?

Just borderline schizophrenia I say!

Actually, REAL motor racing is done on many types of track...straight, twisty, paved, dirt, sand, you name it.

If you're a REAL car guy, you like 'em all!

Drag Racing: The premature ejaculation of motorsports.

That being said, quickies are good on occasion.

I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team, and not the bullschit.
