It's the only car I have ever owned that made my heart rate go up.

Chicks are into MONEY. A Porsche to them smells of money. They tolerate yer ugly mug cuz you have money. It ain't the size of yer willie it's MONEY.
They can't help it it's a primal instinct.

Oh Haha 10-31-2009 06:33 AM

Sooooooooo, you're are saying that chicks only want the MONEY.

I don't ever wonder why a Porsche is worth owning, but if you do, I'd be glad to take yours off your hands. :)

It is like a penis...even if you only get to use it on Saturday night...it is still well worth the effort to keep one in the garage. Of course some of us still like to drive ours every day.

Hey, I was just saying.

It seems I can't sell my 911 because of the salvage title. Based on my experience, I have some advice: Buy a Porsche with a salvage title! That way, it's yours for life.

I don't own a 911, but I get to borrow one every few months.

I had it a few days ago. I was sitting in my livingroom when the sun cut through the clouds, just above the hills across the river. It was a perfect sunset that sent bright warm light through the fall foliage. I grabbed the keys and went for a quick blast along the river road. It's hard to say which contributed more to the experience, the sunset or the 911. I know that if the Porsche hadn't been in the yard, I would have just stayed put and watched the sunset from the livingroom. I guess that's what it comes down to for me... The Porsche makes me want to drive.

And as for daily driving, I can't think of a better car to make commuting fun. In a row of cars at a red light... when it turns green I can't help but to wait just a couple seconds longer so I have a chance to wind it up in 2nd. Or a quick downshift and a shot of gas to sneak into a spot in the next lane. It makes driving to work fun.

I do a LOT of driving, 25k miles in the last 6months. I like driving my mercedes because it's solid and comfortable... great for taking clients out in. But on days when I am just driving around meeting poeple for appointments, I think I'd enjoy my work day SO much more in a 911.

So, any of you who feel that your 911 is going unloved, give me a call and I promise to take good care of it.

even though I am not the fastest on the street nor hit the max most of the time, but I can past many cars (to change lane) easier than with my Camry.
I don't know how many people I impressed but many girls I talked to will like a new MB or a new Lexus more than any 911, especially my wife.
I don't know if anyone can make, or save money, by driving a 911 but I spend more $$ and a lot more time on my 911 than any other car I have/had.
Even though I never pass 130 but many times I smiled myself while driving my car. And many times I wanted to let it go but I couldn't.

Just the other day.....
I had one of the worst days I can remember in a long time. Everything seeme to go wrong.
So, when I got home I immediately changed clothes, kissed the girlfriend and told her I had to go drive "the silver car" and off I went.
For about three or four hours I just cruised around. Back roads and freeway, slow and quick.
When I returned home all bad was gone from my system and I slept well that night.
Had I not taken "the silver car" as she calls it things would have been different.

+1 on the last post for me as well.

Sometimes mine even tells me I NEED to go for a drive.

What's the point? Hmm....lets see what comes to mind about my '77:

Lightweight, well handling, reliable sports car.

At 6' 4" it's one of the few sports cars I fit comfortably in.

My wife loves it. I do too.

Beautiful bodywork.

Very direct driving experience.

Meeting other Porsche enthusiasts (and other car enthusiasts in general).

I could go on and on...

It's probably the one thing I have that's mainly for me.

10 minutes in the driver's seat is all I need to get transported into a different mindset.

I'm not sure you can put a high enough value on that these days

How many times do we have to explain this:

Porsche are used to make up for bad looks

Big trucks are used by the little wiener crowd
