What are you working on? What have you got planned till year end

Wevo shifter in the 87 930
Re-install the engine in the 71 E type
New furnace install in the garage, just don't trust the old one
Take all the stuff outa the garage and paint it, 24 x 30
Install the new 2 post lift that I don't have yet

If I get all that done this year I'm going to get a Superman shirt and wear it proudly

Pic's of your project would be cool, sorry guys I don't have any

Nephew just bought a house. He is a great kid and I want to help him paint and get it sorted out.

Finish basement - currently finishing first coat of drywall mud
Split 3 trees worth of wood to burn
Brake job on the wife's van
Rebuild front calipers, replace leaky oil pan, and adjust valves on the Land Cruiser

That's should keep me busy until 2010.

Need to do a pan gasket and cam tower gasket/belt job on the 944. Got a new stereo system to hide in the back... New brakes...

Oh and now the Corrado has developed an oil leak and the seat heater has stopped working... That should keep me busy...

Finish basement, rework the old Au Pair quarters as well.

Barn garage with the Amish. I'm researching the right lift, compressor, lights, fans, welding spot, etc.

Going to rework the 1983 Honda RX dirt bike when the garage is done.

Since the Miata has been on jackstands for a couple weeks now waiting for a brake/clutch fluid change, and the 944 is in storage until I change the timing belt, I'm just hoping to get through Spring cleaning now that it's October.

I moved the 911 out to the airport for more room in the garage to re-organize. There it sits....

I am going to start on my suspension refurbish. I have all the parts on hand. I keep reading the posts on what is involved. It is just daunting how much work is involved. I plan to remove all the suspension and replace the rubber bushings. And "while I am in there" replace all the shocks, rebuild the calipers and paint them. Replace the front wheel bearings and new front rotors. Refurbish the steering rack and convert to turbo tie rods and ball joints. I will replace the fuel pump and rebuild the pedal bushings.

Rebuild front end on the XJR

Finish my dance club in my basement (no joke...illuminated acrylic dance floor, smoke machines, laser lights, etc)

Start building the forced induction on the E30

Steve has been doing alot of work on a project that's been on the back burner for a while. This is a factory two-wheel drive, factory a/c, V8 - 1972 Blazer. The engine (sbc 383) and trans (700R4) are in place. Plenty of other work to go as you can see. Body work is essentially done. This was a body-off re-do.

This one is real, real cross to makin' noise and burning gas!

Glenn let me know if you need extra hands... I'm always up for slinging wrenches... If you need a lift ours is open if you are willing to make the journey.

Finally figured out long-ignored dragging brake problem(fr/rl) on the daily driver, indicators pointing towards the master cylinder sticking...hopefully.
Already taken the pads off, cleaned/lubed, and retracted the pistons twice with no effect.
Got the garage semi-organized and hopefully have time to start working on the pcar.

Got a fence rebuilt that was falling over (the rest is still semi-vertical). Also reduced the plantings for better basement ventilation, and made a drainage trench.

Meeting the same builder next week to look at the father's rental which needs some major renovation to the parking lot. The parking spaces have way too tight a turn, any pickups will block the drive, grading is towards the foundation, etc..
I graphed out the area using all 6'x18' vehicles and angled them more, which should leave an easier in/out, more door opening, actually more space between vehicles, and the important 9' minimum of driveway clearance. Hope it works.

Clean and insulate the garage, maybe some exterior painting.

BRPORSCHE 10-30-2009 04:36 PM

Women. 24/7

It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.

porsche4life 10-30-2009 04:57 PM

Well, Tom I will squeeze that in as well....

Let's see:

- store the Porsche at a friend's garage until next spring
- setup the reloading bench in the basement and make some ammo
- bottle 12 gallons of homemade mead for Christmas gifts
- work on my health situation
