Halloween Face Paint May Contain Lead and Other Toxins
-Wednesday October 28, 2009 Some time ago I mentioned that lead has been found in some lipsticks, so it shouldn't surprise you that lead is also found in other cosmetics, including children's Halloween face paint. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics has released a report describing the metals they found in common Halloween face paint products. All of the face paints that they tested contained lead, which is toxic in any amount and can cause permanent developmental problems. 40% of the products contained nickel, 20% tested positive for cobalt, and half contained chromium. _______________________ I assume a lot of this crap is imported from our Chinese friends. If you have small children, be aware - lead and children is not a good mix.
