NYS Budget crisis
When will these people start to examine state retirement benefits? Budget cuts instead of continuing to spend more than comes in to the till.

The Governor is right.
Spending, debt and future obligations far outstrip any growth in population, the economy or any other reasonable yardstick. This growth represents a concerted and years long lobbying campaign by public unions and other advocacy groups. More and more skilled and educated people flee New York while leaving the unskilled and uneducated behind - and the population remains the same due to (mostly) third world immigration. A set of conditions that will only get worse and multiply. |

Ditto for California
We ring the dinner bell to attract the least educated, least skilled. Not the best. Then we raise taxes on those left making money to pay for education and subsidized housing for those who are least educated. And the State can't seem to figure out why it has a budget problem.
