Can someone identify this car?

It's in a field for sale near my home. The badge is removed..and nobody was home to ask more about it. Anyone know the make/model?

Fiat Spider, it looks odd because there are no bumpers.

Thanks everyone, it's marked for $2500, I might have a look at it. It hasn't sat there very long so I'm hoping it's not rusting out. The top looks a little worn, but the paint isn't too bad (might have been repainted recently). I don't know a lot about Fiat, but my wife is in love with it.

ah, my first car was a '74 Fiat Spyder. I loved that car, great convertible top, nice handling. It was very easy to work on, which was good as I was doing it often

$2500 seems high for a car in that shape, watch out for rust in the rear rockers, that and California smog laws eventually spelled the end of mine

Fiat 124 Spyder. It looks late '70's-ish judging by the turn signals in the front, lack of square side marker and door handle. Nice little cars but prone to rust especially the rear quarters. I had one many years ago. It is not worth $2,500.00. $250.00 maybe as a parts car. You can get a half way decent car on Ebay for $2,500.00.

Point taken, way overpriced. Like I said, I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to old Italian cars.

Well here is what you need to know.

The day this car left the factory, it was an utter piece of crap. Unless you have some burning love for Fiat 124s, run Forest, run.

Most had massive electrical and rust issues. Unless its "like new" in every way run the other direction.

That said, I loved mine but then that was back in the 1970's when they were a lot closer to being new.

My wife had a 2000 spyder when we met. I had a 914 at the time. She kept saying how we both had sports cars. I always asked her where hers was. That POS clocked more miles behind a tow truck than on it's own four wheels. Alfa's aren't much better...don't ask me how I know.
