The one that will be for sale (a good 9 year run)

And the one that I'll likely never sell

Not enough eee's in sweet to describe the new toy, but don't you need em both?

Glad you got it in time for the gig. Have fun!

The Zon fretted and Sadowsky are very different sounding and playing basses, but I don't like to have a ton of instruments around. For the past 9 years I've played the fretless about 95% of the time and with the guys I'm playing with lately I need a different vibe. Plus if I sell the Zon I can buy another Sadowsky like this:

I don't know, Johnny Gill was alright but Ralph Tresvant was more the Bass IIRC.

Did they give you a deal since the neck pickup was snapped in half?

I've ended up with an Ibanez with Bartolini pickups; the guy says someone will come along who appreciates them (still waiting).

Yeah, and they didn't try to hide it very well either...

This is my first bass with a P-style pickup. I thought I'd be panning more towards the bridge as I'm more familiar with J-styles but actually ended up going the other way. It nails the P-bass sound and the mix is it's own thing. Great bass to slap. Ended playing almost 4 hours last night. My shoulder is sore...I should have sat down more.

Very nice! Doesn't Walter Becker play a Sadowski?
