KAVA for anxiety?
 

Anyone try it? does it work or are you all just a bunch of laid back guys?

Kava just knocks me out. Makes me want to sleep...

In my opinion, KAVA has a similar effect to Ativan.

Though KAVA is available over-the-counter, it is quite potent, and an extra tiny sip or two can make a big difference. It is best to use a 5-ml teaspoon to adjust your dosage. Similar to Ativan, it inhibits the thinking process to prevent anxiety. It is a pleasant state, but driving or operating machinery is not recommended.

I use Ativan for my fear of flying, though.

Sure I like liver failure to anxiety any day.

Yes Kava does help, but as with any herbal you must check to see if it's potency is reliable. Being herbal batch to batch variability in potency is still an issue. And don't combine it with any other similar drug. You can OD.

Again, I'll stick with dope. No fussing with 'dosage'. If you can't operate the lighter, you've had enough :D

Having done 3 different trips to Fiji, and bought the REAL kava freshly ground up from the roots, I can attest to the mellowing qualities of it, sorta like drinking muddy water, numbs the tongue, and puts a nice glow on your attitude. They drink it daily down there, and it's the real stuff not some fake powered in a pill.

I brought home a BUNCH of the stuff, maybe it's time later today to go make a batch for fun.

Buying it from the locals at the produce market, how can you say no to the lady who is proud to claim, "My Kava is Number 1 best!"

Don't mix it with alcohol, you get a really bad headache that lasts two days. At least that's what happened to me. Otherwise good stuff
